what it’s like being you…

i hate being me. i hate that my friends are all prettier than me. i hate that i’m not stick thin like models. i hate i don’t have huge blue grey eyes like models. i hate that i’m not beautiful.

boys don’t come after me. boys rarely come after me, and this depresses me. i know i should not put my self-worth according to how many boys like me, but my best friend has loads of guys after her, while i only have a few. my friend once told me about how guys sometimes only go for the easiest girl, but i don’t buy that. guys don’t like me simply because i’m ugly, disgusting, and fat.

i don’t get how my best friend has so much self confidence. one day she can think this guy is cute, the next day they’ll already be talking on the phone, the following day they could be going out, and it always ends in him confessing how much he loves her. i don’t get it, i mean i know she’s always a big flirt etc. but i don’t know how she does it.

(p.s: do you think it’s weird if i ask a guy for his number? would he think i’m desperate?)

a lot of times guys are like electricity, they go for the path of least resistance. i’m not saying that we go for the easy girl, but if we know that a girl is into us we are more likely to go for her. like everyone, a lot of guys hate rejection.

also, keep in mind that most of the guys that hit on you probably aren’t the ones you want to stay with. i don’t think i have ever gone up to a girl and just asked her out. i had one friend that would go up to every girl in the bar. i asked him why and he said, “it’s a numbers game, one is bound to say yes”. now this doesn’t make him a bad guy, but probably not the best catch since he was interested in volume. * there is always an exception to every rule

i would say, if you are into a guy, let him know in one way or another. i have had a girl or two hit on me and it was very flattering. she new what she wanted and went after it, and i see nothing wrong with that. then again, i have had girls that i was really into, but i was shy and didn’t do anything. so i ended up with the one that came up to me.

the way i see it, if you want someone, go for it. don’t sit back and regret. this doesn’t mean you should hit on every guy. just don’t be afraid to go after what you want.

what it’s like being you…

it’s having almost no control over your life.
it’s being trapped.
it’s having great friends.
it’s living life with no regrets (honestly, I have none.)
it’s laughing.
it’s enjoying beautiful things.
it’s people watching and listening to what they have to say.
it’s singing with friends at the top of my lungs in between fits of laughter.
it’s crying every once in a while.
it’s thinking about life.
it’s enjoying good music.
it’s learning as much as I can (if it interests me, that is.)
it’s being a hypocrite.
it’s taking photos of anything.
it’s not swearing.
it’s not drinking.
it’s not doing drugs.
it’s not having intercourse.
it’s not shouting.
it’s staying up late for no good reason.
it’s loving food but not everything.
it’s being me.
